June 2008
Attn. Not-For-Profit Organizations:
Leadership Mohawk Valley is now accepting applications from area not-for-profit
organizations interested in seeking the services of a project team for
the 2008-2009 LMV program term.
Leadership Mohawk Valley was created in 1990 to develop and utilize the
leadership talent of professionals from the community. This 10-month leadership
program provides individuals opportunities for personal leadership development,
presentational skills-building and professional and personal growth, to
gain a better understanding of group dynamics, team leadership, and the
value of networking. All of which are intended to prepare individuals
to better understand, to engage and to serve the community where they
live, work and play.
A unique aspect of the LMV program is
the placement of individuals into teams of five or six members who work
with selected not-for profit organizations
seeking assistance with a particular need/problem/issue. If your not-for-profit
organization is interested in applying for an LMV Project Team for the
2008-2009 term, please review the following packet for application criteria,
guidelines and rating rubric. Given that the application must be submitted
electronically, these materials can be found on the LMV website at info@leadershipmohawkvalley.net
or by emailing me at peter.perkins@sunyit.edu.
The deadline submission date is August 1,
2008 so please do not delay
in getting your application submitted for consideration.
Yours in leadership,
Peter Perkins
