William Read, aka "Bill" is a graduate of the Class of 2007. He was voted by his class to be that year's class representative. He has also been selected to serve on LMV's board. Bill is the Treasurer and partner of Day, Scarafile & Read, Inc. which handles insurance, taxes, and investments for clients throughout the Mohawk Valley region.
Day, Scarafile & Read, Inc. was created when two long-time, specialized Mohawk Valley firms joined together. The firm's combined expertise has helped to form a belief that the more services they can provide their clients, the better they can understand their needs.
   Bill, formerly of Read Financial Group, Inc, has had extensive experience in tax preparation and is an Enrolled Agent licensed to practice by the federal government and authorized to appear in place of taxpayers at IRS and NYS audits. He brings over 20 years experience to Day, Scarafile & Read, Inc.
Bill also holds licenses for security sales and has extensive experience investing in IRA's, College Savings Plans, Small Business Retiremenet Plans, and Mutual Funds. Other titles and certificates he holds include CLU-Chartered Life Underwriter, Former Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Security License-Series 6 & 63,Property & Casualty Insurance License, Life Insurance License, and a Notary Public.

    Bill graduated from Binghamton University with a BS in Accounting in 1982 and has served with the Read Financial Group Staff since 1991.

   Bill and his wife, Karen, reside in Whitesboro with their two daughters. Bill enjoys working with people, Utica College hockey, hiking, and spending time with family and friends outside of the "busy tax season."
