| Bill Pirillo is President and CEO of the New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation (NYSTEC), a not-for-profit technology consulting and engineering company serving government agencies and private institutions. NYSTEC is headquartered in Rome, NY, with offices in Albany and New York City. Before joining NYSTEC in 2000, Pirillo was President of The Center for Systems Thinking & Innovation Inc., a training and consulting organization in Oswego, NY. Previously, he spent 23 years in management with Black Clawson Co. of Fulton, NY. A native of Long Island’s North Fork, Pirillo holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology from SUNY at Oswego. Besides sitting on the board at Leadership Mohawk Valley, Pirillo has involved his company in numerous business-development and charitable ventures, including fuse2007, Mohawk Valley Engineering Executive Council, Student Introduction To Engineering and Science, March of Dimes, United Way, Liberty Resources Victims of Violence, Salvation Army, Welcome Hall, and Rome Humane Society. Pirillo says that his participation in Leadership Mohawk Valley has reassured him that the area’s future is in good hands. “It’s clear through Leadership Mohawk Valley that the Utica-Rome area is populated with many talented people,” he said. “By nurturing local leaders and encouraging new connections among them, LMV is creating a climate that encourages economic and civic development.
